關於池田鍛錬所
池田美和先生(Yoshikazu Ikeda)自 1967 年 開始鍛造刀具,作為其父親 池田亀夫(Kameo Ikeda) 的學徒學習技術。池田亀夫是池田鍛錬所第二代鐵匠,而池田辰男(美和先生的兄長)則接手父親的作坊,成為第三代鐵匠。

1983 年,池田美和成立了自己的作坊 “池田鍛錬所”,並數十年如一日專注於鍛造技術的傳承與創新。他製作的堺北辰刀具系列是池田鍛錬所的代表性產品之一。


🔹 池田美和先生的話
1967 年,我在父親的指導下開始製作刀具,並於 1983 年 成立池田鍛錬所。自那時起,我專注於堺打刃物的技術傳承,致力於專業用途的和式刀具製作,如水本燒和墨流し刀。
我很榮幸於 1988 年 被認定為傳統工藝士,並現任 堺打刃物傳統工藝師協會的會長。」

🔹 About the Blacksmith: Traditional Craftsman Yoshikazu Ikeda
Ikeda Forging Works
Yoshikazu Ikeda began his knife-making journey in 1967 under the apprenticeship of his father, Kameo Ikeda, the second-generation blacksmith of Ikeda Forging Works. His elder brother, Tatsuo Ikeda, succeeded their father as the third-generation blacksmith.

In 1983, Yoshikazu Ikeda established his own workshop, Ikeda Forging Works, dedicating decades to perfecting his craft and earning numerous accolades. The Sakai Hokushin series is one of the hallmark product lines from his workshop.

"In 1967, I began crafting knives under my father’s guidance and founded Ikeda Forging Works in 1983. Since then, I have focused on preserving the art of Sakai Forged Knives, creating professional-grade Japanese knives such as Mizuhonyaki and Suminagashi blades.
In 1988, I was honored to be recognized as a Traditional Craftsman and currently serve as the President of the Sakai Forged Knives Traditional Craft Association."
