Shirogami #1 is one of Japan's purest traditional high-carbon steels, renowned for its high carbon content and exceptional purity.

Through the traditional Mizuhonyaki water-quenching process, the blade develops an extremely hard cutting edge while retaining a tougher blade body, creating a naturally beautiful hamon unique to each knife.

🏔 About Ikeda Tanrenjo

Yoshikazu Ikeda began forging knives in 1967, training under his father, Kameo Ikeda, before establishing Ikeda Tanrenjo in 1983.

The Ikeda family has carried forward generations of Sakai blacksmithing tradition:
